To go to our Webstore, select the link here: CLICK HERE! The Fourth Annual New England Pond Hockey Festival will be held in spectacular Rangeley Maine, February 5th-7th, 2010. During a three day tournament thirty-six teams with six players each, (four skaters at a time), will compete in an event to celebrate a time honored New England tradition. The festival is fund-raiser, with surplus proceeds earmarked for Rangeley charities. This year, ten rinks will be created on beautiful Haley Pond in downtown Rangeley with a hospitality tent and hay bale seating for spectators. A Friday night welcoming reception and Saturday night Happy Hour will be included in the registration fee. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games in the round robin format. A playoff will be held to determine the tournament champion on Sunday morning along with a consolation round.
- THREE DIVISIONS -
Open Division (35 Years Old by Feb. 5, 2010)
Masters Division (each player must be 50 years or older on Feb. 5th, 2010)
Women’s Division (No Age Limits).
- TEAM ENTRY FEE -
$700 per team – Up to 7 players per team
36 teams participating in “4 on 4” hockey (no goaltenders).
10 rinks with teams playing simultaneously
Each team will play at least 3 games on Saturday. Consolation and Championship rounds on Sunday morning.
The rink measures approximately 150’ x 75’ ( 75% of regulation size)
All games are 30 minutes in length with two 15 minute halves
